I am a certified public accountant serving clients in my hometown of Decatur, Alabama. I completed a bachelor of arts in communications at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, a bachelor of science in accounting at Athens State University and a Master of Business Administration in finance at Auburn University. I continue to study new developments and changing trends in accounting and finance. I believe in being a life-long learner and embracing new technologies.
I became an accountant after over ten years of experience in the banking industry, and I utilize my experience in both fields to better serve my clients. I have experience working with individuals from all backgrounds and income levels, businesses from several different industries, as well as churches and other not for profit organizations.
I help my clients gain better insights from their financial statements. These insights can help develop plans for growth, reduce expenses, and better leverage employee skill sets. I also help new startups evaluate their needs and develop a plan to take their new businesses from startup to profitability.
I also know that sometimes, good people make mistakes in their financial lives. I am able to work with clients who need budgeting help, owe back taxes, have unfiled returns or are facing IRS or State income tax audits.
